Quixotic Studios to Release Preview

AUDIENCES WILL PREVIEW "GARAGE BAND"
Producers release 48-hour sneak peek


8-12-09--Raleigh, NC--The producers of Quixotic Television have announced that they will pre-release an episode of comedic series Garage Band August 17, 18 and 19.

"We are excited to share with Raleigh the talent that we get to work with," comments Rachel Kincaid of Quixotic Studios. "48 hours will give audiences a snapshot of the characters and storyline. We look forward to getting feedback, too."

Garage Band, the story of friendship on and off stage, features writer and actor Tim Webb, actors Josh Winters, Ray Wagner and Kelly Taylor and is shot by Stephen Lin. The teaser will preview on YouTube for 48 hours beginning Monday, August 17.

On his idea to develop a script about a married couple who doesn't always see eye-to-eye on the husband's band, Webb offered, "Everybody I know is in a garage band. My son was in the 8th grade before he realized that not everyone else's dad is in a band."

Quixotic Television, a division of Raleigh Television Network, will release coverage of local fitness model Christine Williams as she trains for competition, independent music videos and more this fall to audiences.

Quixotic Studios Seeks Music Videos

7-17-09--Raleigh, NC--The producers of Quixotic television are currently seeking videos of group, band and solo artist startups in the Triangle and surrounding areas to feature in the music section of Quixotic Television show, scheduled to air late 2009.

"We want to expose some of Raleigh's best emerging talent," commented Rachel Kincaid, creative director of Quixotic Studios, "as well as give viewers what they want in industrial, acoustic, surfer rock, independent hiphop and more."

The music videos will be part of 30-minute episodes on Raleigh Television Network that include reality documentary coverage of Raleigh-based fitness model Christine Williams (below) and the comedic series "Garage Band" featuring stand-up comic Ray Wagner (http://www.myspace.com/raywagner).

Style Update Candidates

4-28-09--Raleigh, NC--The producers of Quixotic television are currently seeking nominations of men and women in the Triangle who are in need of a wardrobe update and style counseling.

"We want to help men and women reevaluate their closets," commented Rachel Kincaid, creative director of Quixotic Studios, "to successfully transition careers, revamp their social life or to begin dressing their age."

Quixotic producers will feature back story footage of the nominee, his or her favorite garments, why he or she is in need of a style update and footage of new colors and styles found in local boutiques.

The style segments will air from July to September on Quixotic Television, a 30-minute television show on Raleigh Television Network that will also feature a comedy series starring stand up comedian Ray Wagner of Goodnight's comedy club, local musical guests and more.

Style features to join QTV

Candidates for the fashion segments are men and women who have been encouraged by friends and family to alter the way they dress, have an upcoming special event, or who have been stuck in a fashion rut.

New comedic series coming to RTN

NEW COMEDIC SERIES COMING TO RTN
Producers promise smart humor, fresh faces

3-7-09--Raleigh, NC--The producers of Quixotic television have announced that they will select Tim Webb as the lead writer of a new comedic segment to air on the television show in July. Ray Wagner, a Goodnight's regular comic will play the principle character in the series said to involve friends who are united by music.

The team will film their first episode on Saturday, March 21. "We are still casting, however." The project is in search of two female characters, a 20's girlfriend and 20-30's wife as well as a 20-30's male. "We're looking for actors who have good timing and an interest in situational comedy."

3/2/2009--Raleigh, NC--Quixotic Studios publicity house of Raleigh has announced Thursday it's intent to represent Talon Lloyd, owner of GetNice Records beginning in spring of 2009. Quixotic will partner with GetNice on such projects as performance and merchandise promotion, brand awareness and community activism. The creative and marketing departments of the style magazine plan to utilize photography, retail advertising, creative press kits, news articles and more to build the GetNice brand first locally then regionally by 2010.

"We know that [Talon] Lloyd has not only a unique sound and attitude, but a unique vision for what the music industry needs. He's also very good in business. In short, we're just incredibly excited that he's allowing us to represent him."

QUIXOTIC STUDIOS AUDITIONS LOCAL MUSICIANS
Website to television team seeks original songs for opening sequence, guest acts

2-9-09--Quixotic Studios is now accepting submissions of songs for the television expansion Quixotic Television, created by Stephen Lin and Rachel Kincaid. The photography and journalist duo is looking for original, independent work from bands and producers for the chance to be used in Quixotic's opening sequence. Other musicians will be asked to be musical guests on the 13-episode, half-hour show set to air this spring.

"We know that there is some great music out there by local bands and singer-songwriters. Our aim, as with the website, is to help these acts get noticed in the Triangle and beyond while serving our purposes of intelligent and influential entertainment."

Submissions are accepted from February 15 to March 15 in link and MP3 format. The Quixotic creative team will issue call backs in March and one lucky winner will receive the invitation to be the opening sequence's song. Other artists will be invited to create a music video to be played on an episode.
